Trust me, ladies; I started from nowhere before I decided to compete in the PPC. It has been two years since I decided to ago after a lifelong dream and It only took me seven months of training to become a 1st place winner! If I can do it, you can too. I never felt sexy in my ordinary day or routines but when I started pole dancing, after one lesson I came out feeling seductive, hot, and flirtatious!! Words that I NEVER would use to describe me!
- There have to be Pole Dancing benefits; Otherwise, this wouldn’t be such a phenomenon. So, here are my top 4 reasons why every woman should try pole dancing at least twice to get you hooked. This exercise creates blood flow and gets your heart pumping within 1-2 songs played. You can work out at home or go on a walk, but most cases we don’t work out as hard as we should reach our target heart rate to lose weight.
- Increases flexibility. The pre-workout to your pole dance routine is one that involves a broad range of deep stretching. Humankinetics.com tells us that There is scientific evidence that the incidence of injury decreases when people include flexibility training in their routines Your flexibility is not meant to be rushed. It takes time, but with consistency, you will notice an improvement.
- This workout builds all over strength. While strengthening muscles, you are also toning the arms and the legs from the pull-ups and the squeezing of the thighs. (strength physically & emotionally) Who doesn’t want overall strength ladies!??
- Last on my list but DEFINATLY NOT LEAST- Pole Dancing has the capability to make you feel sexy when you never thought you were. This increases your confidence and self-esteem!! Woo hoo
Okay, so now that we know a few of the benefits, how do you start this new exercise regimen if you don’t have a pole, or maybe you are feeling shy about hitting up a class? I say at home and look up some informational beginner YouTube videos. Some of my favorites for inspiration are from professional pole dancing guru Chris Sea.
Fitness should be fun; it should also build confidence and have a purpose. If you find your regular workout routine isn’t sticking for you, then I suggest grabbing a girlfriend and find your local class. You’re in for a great workout, and I am sure a few laughs!
